Terms of Business and Payment Systems

Purchase Guarantee and Returns

Your satisfaction and repeat business are very important to us. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund the full purchase price, as long as the item is in original condition.  Please notify us via email of your intention to return the item within 2 days of its receipt. We ask that you return the item to us (in its original box) within 2 days of this notification. 

Items must be well packaged to prevent damage on the return voyage.  You will need to pay the return shipping costs unless the item sent was not what you ordered or was damaged in transit, in which case please contact us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  and we will make alternate arrangements with you.   Upon receipt of the item we will refund your money in full.  Damaged or modified items cannot be accepted for return.

Instructions for Returns

  • Pack each piece of jewellery very carefully ensuring multiple items do not knock against each other or move within the box.
  • Double box the item, using the original gift box and then place this inside an outer mailbox.
  • Jouel takes no responsibility for return goods lost or damaged in transit, therefore we recommend items are insured and tracked.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards via SecurePay and PayPal, plus bank transfers or personal cheques from Australian purchasers. Purchasing online is as simple as a few clicks through our secure online system which employs the latest security features to protect your financial details.

Credit Cards
To use a credit card to pay for your purchase you just select the item you wish to purchase and use the "checkout" link.  Fill out your account and delivery details. When you are on the final confirmation page, click the button to confirm your order, you will then be given a choice of either paying through SecurePay or being transferred through to Paypal's payment page. 

Personal Cheques
We only accept personal cheques drawn on Australian banks. Personal cheques from overseas banks are not accepted due to the lengthy clearance time. All cheques should be made out to Jouel and mailed to P.O. Box 1691, Coorparoo, Brisbane, Queensland 4151 Australia.

Bank Transfer
Please contact us for our banking details if you wish to pay via bank transfer.

Laybys
Our layby terms are three equal payments over three months. Sorry, but we are unable to extend this timeframe.
 

Tax (Jouel Antique Jewellery ABN 40 604 240 138)

All items purchased within Australia include Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax) in the prices shown.  No sales tax is applied to orders shipped outside Australia, but please be aware that items entering overseas destinations are subject to customs inspection and the assessment of duties and taxes in accordance with that country's national laws.  The buyer is responsible for all duties and taxes incurred.

Disclaimer

The information contained on the Jouel Antique Jewellery website is provided in good faith and we make every effort to verify the accuracy of our product descriptions. An immediate refund will be offered if you receive an item that is either not as described, or has been mistakenly misrepresented on the website.  Please remember that most of the items we are selling are antique or vintage and will therefore show signs of wear, as expected for their age. 

Privacy Policy

Jouel Antique Jewellery is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information and we do not sell or share customer information with third parties for any reason except for fulfilling an order (for example the Postal or Courier service requires shipping details and a telephone number).  If Jouel staff need to contact you we will use email, except when you have requested we contact you by phone.  We will not call you for promotional or marketing purposes.  If you have registered for our monthly update and no longer want to receive it, you can cancel your registration at any stage using the link provided on the update.

We only collect information from you which is necessary respond to your enquiries, communicate with you or to process and ship your order, for example: your name, email address, telephone number and postal address.  We take all appropriate steps to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access to and modification or disclosure of your personal information.
