Victorian love token in the form of a double sided pendant. The gold metal frame has a handpainted scene of a courting couple sitting in a garden. Cherubs holding garlands of flowers fly above them.
The latin phrase "Amor nubi creseit in noras" is written across the top of the scene and the word "Love" is written on the urn plinth. The other side of the pendant contains a photograph of a Victorian gentleman.
The pendant is 5.5cm (2.2 in) in height and 4.25cm (1.7 in) wide. It is in good condition apart from damage to the internal gold braid framing the courting scene on the upper right hand side. There are also several small scratches to the glass cover and a little dust under the cover. The gold frame is untested and is not hallmarked.
