Unique antique 9ct gold cufflinks enamelled with the first Australian Coat of Arms. King Edward VII signed the Royal Warrant for the first Commonwealth of Australia Coat of Arms on 7 May 1908.
The cufflinks were manufactured by Willis and Sons of Melbourne who were leading Australian gold jewellery manufacturers in the early twentieth century.
The cufflinks have chain and barbell connections and are hallmarked with the manufacturers mark and the 9ct gold mark. They are in perfect condition with no chips or scratches to the enamel. The box is showing signs of wear and has lost its internal jeweller's label.
These unique cufflinks represent a significant milestone in Australia's history and are an excellent antique jewellery investment.
