Art Deco Era (1920-1935)

Print E-mail

The Art Deco style is probably one of the most distinctive and easiest jewellery styles to recognize with its bold structural designs and striking geometric shapes.  Contrasting tones of black, red and white were popular using blocks of white diamonds in combination with darker gems such as onyx and coral.  Sapphires and emeralds were also combined with diamonds and mounted into 'architecturally inspired' platinum settings.
