Gold & Guilloche Enamel Cufflinks

Elegant vintage 18ct gold and guilloche enamel cufflinks.

The guilloche enamel is red brick in colour and is bordered by foliate designed gold work.

The cufflinks are in excellent condition, with slight signs of wear (scratches) to the enamel which are only visible using a jewellers lens. They are hallmarked 750 (18ct) and weigh 12 grams.

Guilloche enamel is created using multipe coats of transparent enamel over a finely engraved metal surface.  This technique was made famous by the extraordinary Russian goldsmith Carl Faberge (1846-1920).
